Tonkotsu Team Shines at the Magic Breakfast 10km Run 2024

Tonkotsu Team Shines at the Magic Breakfast 10km Run 2024

This past Sunday, seven remarkable members of the Tonkotsu family took on the challenge of the Magic Breakfast 10km run at Victoria Park—and triumphed! Despite the cold and rain, their determination and team spirit shone through.

We’ve set up the Tonkotsu Foundation to help alleviate hunger and those suffering from ill health. Every time you buy a Japanese Mushroom Miso ramen, 50p goes into our foundation. Since 2021 we have given £39,000 to a variety of charities with £10,000 remaining to be distributed.

Our current nominated charity is Magic Breakfast, which is a charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. They provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. Providing a daily school breakfast ensures that every child and young person feels included, equal and set up for success. Magic Breakfast works to be part of the solution to end child morning hunger for good through our campaigning, research and advocacy work with politicians and decision-makers.

Congratulations to Kensuke Yamada, Julia Ventiskova, Mercedes Dudas, Noemi Sucala, Marian Aritim, Leo, and Sabbir Hasan for going the distance to support a cause that holds a special place in our hearts.

Their incredible efforts raised an impressive £845, which Tonkotsu proudly matched, bringing the total to a staggering £1690!

We couldn’t be prouder of our runners and everyone who cheered them on.
